Photoshop Etiquette (for web designers)
I came across this website today, and I had to post it for two reasons, 1. to share, and 2. to put somewhere so I won’t forget. The website is Photoshop Etiquette (photoshopetiquette.com), “A Guide to Discernible Web Design in Photoshop”.
Many of the etiquette tips listed could be for any Photoshop user, not just web designers. I hope my students read this and take the tips to heart.
Here are some of my favorites:
- Name Files Appropriately
- Name Layers & Be Accurate
- Use Folders
- Delete Unnecessary Layers
- Don’t Stretch Type
- Be Consistent
Lastly, it’s a great looking website! Mad props to Dan Rose, the creator & curator.
